Have you ever won anything?

A food-eating competition in Scouts. I'm weirdly confident about eating rapidly.

What's your breakfast of choice?

I'm a northerner, so I do love a Spoons breakfast, but in Cairo it's ful, scrambled eggs, and taameya (SPECIFICALLY Egyptian recipe falafel!).

What's something you're convinced will happen to you one day?

I'm hoping and praying it's some kind of cat distribution thing on tour. My two great loves: music and cats.

Have you ever been thrown out of somewhere?

Nearly, but somehow they ended up letting me stay. I did throw up in an ice bucket, though.

What's your earliest memory?

Going to the zoo when I was 3 and feeding black bears and hippos. I was appropriately scared of the hippos, knowing what I know now, but the bears were cool.

If you could learn one skill instantly, without needing to practice, what would you pick?

Being able to tailor. I love clothes, and I think being able to make my own pieces would be really fun!

What's something you're embarrassingly bad at?

FIFA! I played it recently on tour against some of the other band members and... wow. Humbling.

What's something you thought you'd grow out of but haven't?

Collecting ugly trinkets, or dolls and teddies – I just really like ugly things.

What did you last dream about?

I had a dream Ryan from The US Office had the exact same back tattoo as me the other night. I just remember being really, really confused.

If you had to live as an animal for one year, which animal would you pick?

Probably a raven, so I could learn how to say stuff and spook people. I love shiny things.

Have you ever seen a ghost?

Many, many ghosts! Not sure if they were real experiences or an extremely overactive imagination. I'll let you know when I figure it out.

What's the last thing you googled?

"What is vitamin A?"… lmao. My brother asked me, and I wasn't sure.

If you had to get a tattoo today, what would it be of?

If mine are any indication, then literally anything. But I do want a giant red smiley emoticon on my side. I'm not sure why, but you'll probably see it in a few months, knowing me.

What's the most irresponsible thing you'd do with unlimited money?

Re-locate to Mars. I like its reddish hue.

What's the weirdest thing you believed as a child?

That being strong was the most attractive thing, but, like, Hulk-level strength. I used to daydream about cartwheeling so hard I broke through walls, which would obviously then result in an endless line of suitors.

Have you ever had a crush on a fictional character?

I discovered prime-era Tumblr and Wattpad as soon as I became a teenager – we'll be here all day.

If you could have a superpower of your choosing, what would it be?

Having multiple clones of myself so they could do and learn multiple things, then reabsorb the new skills and information.

What's the dumbest way you've injured yourself?

I continue to surprise myself, but probably chipping my tooth by accidentally punching myself in the face with a microphone.

If you were on Mastermind, what would your specialist subject be?

Something around animals. Or early 2000s pop - I was so obsessed with pop back then and, honestly, that hasn't changed.

What was the last thing you broke?

A brand-new full jug of milk. There was milk on the ceiling.

What is the best present you've ever been given?

It's actually really difficult to choose, but I'd say my first ever journal from my mum. I didn't realise at the time how much documenting my life and writing things down would mean to me growing up – and even more so now.

What's something you thought was cool at 15 that absolutely wasn't?

Neon hairbands and side fringes (on me!). I'm not sure why I straightened my fringe and left the rest of it curly. I wish I could ask past Nxdia!

How punk are you out of ten?

10/10, baby!

What's the worst job you've ever had?

Working in fast food at 17. Bruuuuutal.

What's something you've changed your mind about recently?

I had a bath for the first time in years recently. I used to think I didn't like them, but they're kind of incredible. I am a fool.

What's your go-to procrastination activity?

Rewatching a TV show I've seen a million billion times, or playing on my 3DS.

If you could be best friends with a celebrity you do not know, who would you choose?

Aurora. She's got this kind of otherworldly, free energy that I was so drawn to when I discovered her growing up.

What's the most trouble you've got into that wasn't your fault?

Fighting a boy who'd threatened my brother. I guess it was kind of my fault, but I still say it was self-defence.

What strength Nando's sauce do you order?

Medium is the yummies, I fear!

What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you?

I walked around London holding a giant pink teddy while also(!) unknowingly having a thong stuck to the outside of my jacket, which I discovered when I got home. It was broad daylight, people!

What's something you wish people would ask you about more?

Whether I want to go on an all-expenses-paid holiday in the sun to look at cool animals. Heartbreaking. It's the little things.
