Cruz Beckham offers up a raucous Before Doors session with 'Waste Your Pain'

Cruz Beckham and The Breakers have just wrapped their first proper lap around the UK, and they're not stopping for breath. Later this year, the band head Stateside for a run of shows that stacks up to a statement of intent: Rock N Roll Circus, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands and Shaky Knees all on the slate.

Before any of that, though, there was London. Specifically, there was The Courtyard Theatre - the intimate theatre-turned-gig venue where Cruz and co. set up camp for a three-night sold-out residency to close out the tour. We caught them on the final day, mid-soundcheck, for the second instalment of Dork's brand new 'Before Doors' series.

A few hours out from doors, the band tear into their brand new single 'Waste Your Pain', and it's a belter. Raw, tight and built for a room exactly this size. Grassroots venues aren’t just rooms with a PA: they’re the engine room of the UK music industry.
